How Manualify works
Adding, searching, and the options that change what the app does.
What this is
Manualify keeps the manual for every appliance, tool and device in your home in one place, and answers questions out of them. It runs in your browser and stores your library on this device.
Adding something
Tap the + button. There are four ways in, and they all end in the same place.
Take a photo — the best one. Photograph the rating plate: the sticker on the back, the underside, or inside the door, printed with the model and serial number. That is what tells Manualify exactly which product this is, and everything it does afterwards depends on it. No plate? The manual's cover, the box, or the device itself also work.
Add a file — a PDF or a photo of a manual you already have.
Paste a link — the web address of a manual, or of the product's page on a shop or the maker's site.
Enter manually — type the brand and model yourself.
What happens next
The item is saved immediately; the rest runs in the background. Manualify reads the model from your photo, and when you're signed in it searches for the matching manual and for a picture of the product.
When Manualify is sure it's your model's official manual, it saves it for you; when it isn't sure, you choose.
Finding an answer
The search box at the top searches inside your manuals, not only their titles. Type an error code or the job you're doing — “E24”, “replace the filter” — and the result opens the manual at the page that matches. This works offline too, on everything already saved.
Care and maintenance
Where a manual says how often something needs cleaning, descaling or servicing, Manualify collects those lines into a short summary on the item. It keeps the manual's own wording, grouped by how often each job comes round. It changes nothing and reminds you of nothing by itself.
Your options
The app sends no usage data. Without an account your library stays on this device; the app sends only what a feature you use needs, such as a catalogue search. Adding, storing, reading and searching inside manuals all work that way.
With an account you get three things: your library syncs between your own devices, you can share it with the people you live with, and the server-side features become available — the AI read of your photos and the search for a manual. You can switch the AI read off in Settings whenever you like.
Backups live in Settings. Download your whole library as one file, or connect Google Drive. A library that exists only in a browser can be cleared by that browser, so make one early.
